The North Colorado Springs Rotary Club Foundation and local Boy Scout Troop 21 (meeting at Holy Trinity Church) invite you to join friends and neighbors in displaying the American Flag, our symbol of freedom, on 5 days each year, consisting of: Memorial Day, Flag Day, Indepence Day, Labor Day and Veteran's Day. On these days, Scouts will place a large 3' x 5' flag on a 10' pole near the sidewalk in front of your home in the morning and remove it in the evening.

This year on Sunday, September 11, the Scouts will place flags in front of subscriber's homes in the Old North End Neighborhood to pay tribute to those who lost their lives in the attacks.

We are asking neighbors, whether current Symbol of Freedom participants or not, to send a donation showing their support for our efforts. Thanks to Rooster's Men's Grooming Center underwriting the hard costs, every dollar received goes back into the community. Even a dollar is appreciated, with proceeds split evenly between Boy Scout Troop #21, and local charitable projects of the North Colorado Springs Rotary Club Foundation.

Old North End Neighborhood residents encouraged to subscribe

Residents of the Old North End Neighborhood not currently enrolled in the Symbol of Freedom Program may begin participation by sending a donation of $45 to the North Colorado Springs Rotary Club Foundation. This gives you a one (1) year subscription, beginning as soon as possible after receipt of your donation. We will then place a flag in your yard for each of the 5 flag holidays mentioned above. If you want to sign up for two (2) years, send in a donation of $75.
